AI Systems Builder Entrepreneur Growth Marketing Leader Independent Artist

French-Dutch. Five companies. Four countries. Sixteen years building things that didn't exist before someone needed them. Products, teams, pipelines, music — all from the same instinct: if it's broken, build something better.

Julien de Waal is an AI systems builder and entrepreneur currently building Sonscape — an AI-native music video production pipeline that compresses 20–40 hours of release work into 30 minutes — and Sprinkal, an AI content distribution platform for founders and creators. Both products were built to solve problems he personally hit first.

Before that: Head of Marketing at SwissBorg, a crypto unicorn with 700K+ users, where he led SEO, web platform, and growth. Before that: growth consultant at Google, advising hundreds of advertisers. Before that: Head of Incubator at Demium in Málaga, helping early-stage founders validate and launch. And Capgemini before that, on the consulting side.

He is a CMO and growth marketing leader with 16+ years building full-funnel growth functions across crypto, fintech, consumer apps, and startup ecosystems. He builds AI products. He also knows how to fill a pipeline, convert it, and retain what comes through. Both things are true.

Julien has been making music privately since his mid-teens — poems at 15, lyrics at 16, beats and production through his twenties. Fear of judgment kept it in a drawer for twenty years. One conversation changed that. The week after, he released his first track as Jax Lukken. The floodgates opened.

Two albums and 20+ original tracks later, Jax Lukken has accumulated 1.5M+ listeners across 15+ platforms globally. He founded Waalhalla Records after major labels rejected AI-assisted artists — turning the rejection into an independent label built specifically for the artists the industry pushes away.
